What a loyalty programme really costs

The subscription is only part of the cost. The bigger number is usually the value of the rewards you give back. In Unity, customers redeem points as a discount, and 10 points equal £1. If you give 5% cashback on a £20 basket, the customer earns 100 points, which is £1 of future discount. That £1 comes off your margin when it is redeemed, not off your revenue today.

Set your cashback levels, redemption limits and points expiry with your margins in mind. Our guide to what a loyalty scheme costs a small UK business works through the sums step by step, and the ROI calculator on the homepage lets you try your own numbers.

Pricing questions

Which plan should a single café, shop or salon choose?

Start suits a first loyalty programme with occasional push campaigns. Choose Grow if you want to segment customers and send email, SMS and unlimited push campaigns, or if your team will use the Staff Panel and staff referral rewards.

How does Scale pricing work for several locations?

Scale is £89 a month for the first location plus £30 a month for each additional location. It adds multi-location management, a centralised dashboard and separate analytics for each location.

Do I need a specific till or POS system?

No. Unity integrates with Square. With any other till, staff add and redeem points in the Unity Staff app on a phone or tablet. See how the Square integration works.

Can I see the system before paying?

Yes. Book a free demo and we will walk through the customer sign-up, a purchase, a redemption and your campaign set-up with your own reward rules.
