These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Unity Loyalty system (“Service”), operated by Unity Systems Ltd (“Unity”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By registering, accessing, or using a Unity loyalty card or account, you (“user”, “customer”) agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not register or continue using the Service.

1. Eligibility

1.1 You must be 18 years or older to create a Unity Loyalty account or use any loyalty card issued through Unity.

1.2 The Service is intended for individuals located in the United Kingdom.

1.3 Businesses participating in the program (“Merchants”) may impose additional eligibility rules for earning or redeeming rewards. These will be displayed by the Merchant at the point of participation.

2. Registration & Account Creation

2.1 To join a Merchant’s loyalty program, you must create a Unity Loyalty account.

2.2 During registration, you must provide:

  • Full name
  • Email or mobile number
  • Date of birth
  • Verification code sent to your mobile number (for identity confirmation)

2.3 A loyalty card may be added to Apple Wallet after registration.

2.4 You must ensure the information provided is accurate.

2.5 You may only hold one account per mobile number or email address.

3. Marketing Consent

3.1 You will be asked to actively consent to receiving marketing communications before your account is created.

3.2 If you consent, Merchants may send:

  • SMS
  • Email
  • Standard push notifications
  • Apple Wallet geo-triggered notifications

3.3 You may withdraw consent at any time through your user account settings.

Marketing cannot be sent to you unless you have opted in.

4. Earning Points

4.1 Unity operates a standard points valuation where 10 points are equivalent to £1. The rate at which points are earned by Customers (i.e. points awarded per pound spent or per transaction) is determined solely by the Merchant and may vary between Merchants.

4.2 Points are earned when you present your Unity Loyalty card or code at participating Merchant locations.

4.3 Points are added to your account once the transaction is confirmed.

4.4 Points are not earned on excluded items where prohibited by law (e.g., certain tobacco or regulated goods).

4.5 Merchants may define specific earning rules, promotions, or exclusions.

5. Redeeming Rewards

5.1 Points may only be redeemed with the Merchant where they were earned.

5.2 Merchants choose what rewards are available, and how many points are required for each reward.

5.3 Merchants may limit:

  • Maximum redemption per visit
  • Types of rewards
  • Redemption during promotions or peak times

5.4 Points cannot be redeemed for cash, unless legally required.

5.5 Once points are redeemed, they cannot be restored.

6. Expiry of Points

6.1 Merchants set their own point expiry windows (e.g., 6 months, 12 months, etc.).

6.2 Expired points are automatically removed from your account.

6.3 Unity is not responsible for expired points and cannot reinstate them unless the Merchant authorises it.

7. Transfer, Sale & Value of Points

7.1 Points have a fixed internal cash equivalence, but this value is used only for reward calculation — not for withdrawal.

7.2 Points cannot be:

  • Sold
  • Exchanged
  • Gifted
  • Transferred between users
  • Transferred between Merchants

7.3 Any attempted sale or misuse of points may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

8. Apple Wallet Usage & Geo-Push Notifications

8.1 Apple Wallet may display notifications when you are near a participating Merchant.

8.2 Geo-notifications are triggered by your device’s Apple Wallet settings — Unity does not track or store your location.

8.3 You may disable these notifications at any time through Apple Wallet settings.

9. Account Management and Deletion

9.1 You may delete your account at any time via your Unity Loyalty account dashboard.

9.2 Upon deletion:

  • Personal data will be removed.
  • Purchase and points data will be anonymised and retained for Merchant analytics.

9.3 Unity or the Merchant may also close your account if:

  • You breach these Terms
  • Fraudulent activity is detected
  • You misuse rewards or create multiple accounts
  • Required by law

If your account is closed, all remaining points are forfeited.

10. Data Protection & Privacy

10.1 Unity processes personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

10.2 A full Privacy Policy is available on the Unity website and must be accepted before account creation.

10.3 Merchants may view customer data only for transactions related to their own business.

11. Fair Use and Fraud Prevention

11.1 Unity monitors system activity to detect fraudulent or abusive behaviour.

11.2 Fraud includes but is not limited to:

  • Fake scans
  • Multiple accounts
  • Tampering or manipulating points
  • Misuse of promotional offers

11.3 Accounts suspected of fraud may be suspended or terminated immediately.

12. Changes to the Program

12.1 Merchants may change their rewards, earning rules, expiry periods, or promotions at any time.

12.2 Unity may modify these Terms where necessary for legal, operational, or business reasons.

12.3 You will be notified in advance of any material changes.

13. Liability

13.1 Unity is not liable for:

  • Merchant refusal to issue or redeem points
  • Merchant discontinuation of rewards
  • Expired or lost points
  • Errors caused by incorrect user information

13.2 Unity does not guarantee the continued availability of any specific reward or Merchant.

14. Termination of the Service

14.1 Unity may suspend or terminate the entire loyalty service at any time.

14.2 Users will be notified where reasonably possible.

14.3 Points may expire or become unusable if the Merchant ceases participation.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales unless otherwise required by law.
